Accommodation – Basic Information

University Dormitories

As an incoming exchange student at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (UJEP), you have a significant advantage: a place in the university dormitories is guaranteed for you! This means you don't have to stress about finding private accommodation unless you prefer to do so.

Living in the dorms is highly recommended. It is the best way to dive straight into the Erasmus life, stay close to the university campus, and be surrounded by other international and local students. Most of our ESN events and parties start right around the corner!

Students are typically accommodated in double rooms. The facilities (like bathrooms and small kitchens) are usually shared either within a "cell" (two rooms sharing one bathroom) or on the floor, depending on the specific dormitory building. A basic internet connection is provided in every room.

Important note: ESN Ústí nad Labem is a student organization that helps you with your social life, but we do not manage the accommodation ourselves. All official matters regarding your stay are handled by the university department SKM.
