There is a possibility to accommodate students’ guests in the university residence halls. They are usually accommodated in the single room, which is more expensive. They can also stay in the student’s room. In that case, the student needs the consent of his/her roommates. Information about accommodation for visitors is available at the following internet address: www.skm.ujep.cz. (It’s all in Czech, so ask for help your buddy.)

Dorm visits:

  • For the purposes of this CoC, a visitor is defined as any person who is not housed in any of the dormitory or is not an employee of the accommodation provider (hereinafter referred to as a visitor). Visitors must show identification to the doorman. These visits are recorded by the doorman in the guest book and their movement within the dormitories is restricted.
  • The visitor is obliged to familiarize himself with this Code of Conduct.
  • The movement of guests between dormitories is not recorded at the porter's lodgings.
  • Visiting hours in the dormitories are set from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Visitors may not be allowed to enter if they are obviously under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
  • A visitor will not be allowed to enter unless a resident consents to their entry in the shared accommodation. This does not affect the ability to allow the visitor to accommodation according to the available capacity of the residence hall (i.e. in an unoccupied bay) under the conditions set out in this Code of Conduct.
  • The night quiet period lasts from 23:00 to 6:00.
  • The guest is responsible for the behavior of the visitor during his/her stay in the dormitory.
  • Between 24:00 and 5:00, the entrance to the dormitory will be opened at the request of the guest or residents who present a valid student ID or proof of identity.
  • The arrival of residents is not restricted except for the regular nightly rounds of the porter (from 1:15 a.m. to 2:15 a.m.) or for any other reason when the porter leaves the premises. Both must be provided with appropriate notification to the residents. During this time, the resident may not make arrangements to allow others access to the dormitory.
  • Any event held by residents in the dormitories must be announced and authorized in advance by the resident. The resident who organized the event is responsible for the event and any damages.
  • Complaints about disturbances of the night or other offenses against the Code of Conduct shall be lodged with the porter's lodge, either in person at the dormitories or by writing in the service book or in the book of complaints.
  • In case of loss or theft of a voucher, the resident is obliged to immediately notify the porter's office of the respective dormitory and the Police of the Czech Republic.
  • The accommodation provider shall not be liable for any damage to the health or property of the residents or third persons entering or staying in the dormitories. Furthermore, the accommodation provider shall not be liable for any other damage to the occupants or third parties and for damages arising from the use of electronic equipment, computer technology, communication equipment, damages to software, etc.
  • The guest is responsible for the use of internet, data or other telecommunication network, including the wireless network provided by the accommodation provider, in particular he is obliged to use only legally acquired software, in accordance with the law and to the extent provided for by law. The guest shall be responsible for any person to whom it allows access to such telecommunications equipment.
